 French IB SL1/Preparation Course

A big thank you to the IB coordinators and teachers at Blair High School, La Costa

Canyon High School, Umoja International Academy, Rio Mesa High School, and French

American International School for supporting this important work!

As you return to school for the new year, please remember to check your school A-G list

to ensure it accurately reflects your MYP, Diploma Program and Career Program course

offerings. Errors on an A-G course list can disadvantage your students, especially

University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU) applicants. The UC

deadline for making any changes to your school A-G list, or to submit additional

courses for the IB Program list is August 31. https://hs-

If your school would like to submit any new courses, please contact Dorothy Battenfeld,

[email protected].

CAWS is especially interested in assisting schools to submit these courses:

  • Music IB HL1
  • Economics IB HL1
  • Geography IB HL1
  • Business and Management IB HL1

These courses are currently UC A-G approved but need resubmission for honors

weight.

  • French Ab Initio IB SL
  • Other Ab Initio courses

Additional SL1/Preparation Courses

CAWS is committed to supporting our IB students and schools. If you need any

assistance in reviewing and updating your school A-G list, or if you have questions

about UC A-G policies and course recognition, please contact me.
